Zabeel Stables

The facilities include a 1800m dirt training track, 100m straight pool and over 90 fully air-conditioned stables, with a further 60 outside stables. Zabeel Racing Stables, owned by HH SH Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, was until recently, the private race horse training centre for the Maktoum family, and was not open to the public as a training facility. However, with the growth Emirates Racing, Zabeel Racing Stables has now opened the doors to accept a select number of horses owned by private individuals.

Dr Steve O'Grady

Dr. Steve O’Grady was a professional Farrier for ten years prior to obtaining his degree in Veterinary medicine. He has combined his skills as a veterinarian and as a Farrier to better understand and treat hoof problems. In 2003, he was inducted into the International Equine Veterinarians Hall of Fame.
